Resort:
Oban is Scotland's most popular west-coast holiday town, attracting visitors from all over the world. The town's present day popularity owes much to the Victorians. Once Oban had the royal seal of approval from Queen Victoria, the town was destined to become an endearingly enchanting holiday destination. In the town itself there are many attractions, including the distillery, Oban Glass, Cathedral of St. Columba and of course McCaig's Tower and Museum. During our stay we travel across "The Atlantic Bridge" to visit the Isle of Seil and the Highland Craft Studio at Easdale. There is a tour to Inveraray with an opportunity to visit the famous "Inveraray Jail" and Woollen Mill. We travel north to Fort William stopping en route at the Glencoe Visitor Centre. There is leisure time for you to explore Oban or you have the opportunity to take the ferry crossing to the Isle of Mull.
Hotel:
THE ROYAL HOTEL. This traditional hotel stands in the centre of town close to the harbour and ferry terminal. Its central position makes it ideal for visiting the West Coast of Scotland as well as the Islands of Mull & Iona. Built in 1895 the 3 Star AA awarded hotel offers traditional Scottish hospitality within quality modern surroundings. For your convenience there is a lift in the hotel.
