Resort:
The picturesque town of Ullapool has a magnificent setting on the shore of Loch Broom. This small town still has strong ties to the traditional fishing industry and is a busy port for ferries crossing to the Outer Hebrides. The streets entice you to explore, with striking whitewashed buildings that are home to a variety of local craft shops and cafes. Our excursions include a tour along the shore of Little Loch Broom and round the scenic Gruinard Bay to Inverewe Gardens. We have included entry to the gardens, giving you the chance to see the range of exotic plants that grow here thanks to the passing Gulf Stream. We travel through the pretty village of Lairg, situated at the end of Loch Shin and onto the falls on the River Shin, one of the major attractions of the area, complete with a spectacular salmon leap.
